This weeks digital skills session was more focused on type editing, looking at tracking/kerning, creating outlines, 3D effects and the appearance panel. Both the 3D effects options and the appearance panel were completely new territory to me, yet both were surprisingly simple to pick up and apply.
Using those skills listed above, as well as those taught to me last week, I was able to create this piece in line with a piece the lecturer had created. The appearance panel is probably the most useful skill I have learned this week as, not only does it allow easy adjustments to shape and texts, but it significantly sped up the process of creating this poster and so will help in future work.
